Some news…
Hi all,
I have been thinking a lot about this blog. As you can see, I have not blogged as much as I anticipated, but for good reasons. We all know the excuse of being too busy, and that’s part of it, but there have been some other issues lately that have made it a little more complicated. I am hoping that soon I will be able to start blogging more frequently, and on topics that I find interesting… and therefore hopefully you will too. So, my apologies to those who check in every once in a while… only to find boring old posts.
But… in a small attempt to change that fact, I thought I would mention some exciting things that happened today. Hmm… 01:14… actually, that’s yesterday! As of February 1, 2006, I am now officially a homeowner!! I now own a little 2 bedroom simplex (pictured here). It’s really cool. I’m not sure I really feel any different to yesterday, but I can say I was too scared to check my bank balance today! 
The other awesome thing that happened today (er.. yesterday), was that I got my wireless access point setup, so now I have no excuse for not blogging, as I can do it wirelessly from anywhere in my house - awesome!
Seeing as there’s nothing in my music category yet, I thought I would mention that I am going through a Sarah McLachlan stage at the moment. She rocks. I like the music, but also the honesty of her lyrics. It’s real. I think one thing that really makes a good artist, is integrity. Integrity and honesty in the lyrics and music of the songwriter. It’s an expression of themselves and their life. Sarah McLachlan demonstrated that quite nicely, especially as you see the change in her music and lyrics from the days of Mirrorball and Surfacing to Afterglow.
I do, however, have a fairly wide range in music tastes. Some other artists on my playlist at the moment include: John Mayer, Jamie Cullum, Michael Buble, Daniel Powter, James Blunt, LifeHouse and Nickelback. Fairly mixed bag.
